HI, I’M KAREN —
I built a fully booked business and still felt like I was drowning.
I've been a dog groomer since 2009. I built a fully booked business, moved into bigger premises, took on staff and discovered the hard way that being busy isn't the same as running a successful business.
So I got serious about understanding the business behind the grooming. I combined my hands-on experience with higher education in business strategy, pricing, finance, marketing and coaching and applied all of it specifically to dog grooming.
That became The Dog Groomers' Business Engine, and The Dog Grooming Business Academy.
I didn't build the Academy because I saw a gap in the market. I was the gap. I don't teach generic business theory, I teach dog groomers how to build better dog grooming businesses.
Along the way I've qualified as a professional coach, spoken at MasterGroom, Pet Pro Expo and The Great British Grooming Show, guest lectured at Capel Manor College, and been featured — including two front covers — in Total Grooming Magazine.
