HI, I’M KAREN —
I can look at your dog grooming business and identify exactly what you need to do to achieve your goals.
I've worked with almost 500 dog groomers in the past three years, both inside the membership and on a one to one basis, to be able to identify pretty quickly where you need to focus your efforts.
However, I understand that not everyone wants one to one support. That's why I created The Dog Grooming Business Academy membership, so groomers can learn how to identify their own gaps, self study and press the RESET button on their businesses, at a pace which suits them.
I've been a dog groomer since 2009. I built a fully booked business, moved into bigger premises, took on staff and discovered the hard way that being busy isn't the same as running a successful business.
So I got serious about understanding the business behind the grooming. I stepped away & studied Maths & Business Science with The Open University.
I combined my hands-on experience with my education & further ICF coaching training and applied all of it specifically to dog grooming.
I created The Dog Groomers' Business Engine online course (the signature transformation of The Academy - only available inside PRO membership), offering groomers the tools to not just get more money, but more respect, work-life balance and enjoyment from their dog grooming businesses.
I didn't build the Academy because I saw a gap in the market. I was the gap. I don't teach generic business theory, I specifically teach dog groomers how to build better dog grooming businesses.
Along the way I've qualified as a professional coach, delivered seminars at MasterGroom, Groomfest, Pet Pro Expo and The Great British Grooming Show, guest lectured at Capel Manor College, written articles for Total Grooming Magazine & appeared on the front cover - twice.
I don't believe in plonking generic business education on our industry & then blaming the groomers when it doesn't work. I don't believe we need to obsess over pricing; it's a ingredient in a successful business, not the whole recipe.
And I also don't believe that those who are not actually running their own dog grooming business in the current climate should be lecturing those that do and dismissing their fears.
I still run my own successful grooming business. I believe in supporting the women of our industry that want real education & support from someone who stood in their shoes (still does) and built her way to financial freedom, professional respect & a work-life balance that once seemed impossible.
